About Michelle V. Harvey ...

     I graduated from Pepperdine University with my Master's of Psychology, with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy. I am currently working towards my licensure by accruing 3,000 hours of practiced therapy. I am a member of CAMFT (California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists). When I am taking good care of myself I enjoy reading, skiing, or meditation.

     I prefer to work from a systems perspective, which means I like to look at the whole picture. Nothing happens in a vacuum. My specialty is child development, parenting issues, as well as the transition from being a couple to being parents. However, I am also very knowledgeable in issues with depression. Most important to me is that my client feels comfortable and safe in a room with me.

     I respect that it is really hard for someone to come into therapy for the first time. Most people have preconceived notions of what therapy will be like from movies and television. I welcome you to bring these concerns and questions in with you and we can talk about what is and isn't correct. I can tell you that I cannot fix your problems. I cannot tell you what to do. However, I can be a safe place to help you work through a range of issues, concerns, or life stages.
